Jane Myerscough - Senior Regional Performance Officer

Jane has worked in Catholic Education for 25 years, having begun her career in 2000. With over two decades of leadership experience in a variety of roles, she has served as Headteacher for the past eight years. Throughout her career, Jane has demonstrated a deep commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education, supporting school improvement and pupil outcomes across the sector. 

She holds a Master’s degree in Catholic Leadership and the National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership (NPQEL). As a serving Catholic Schools Inspector (CSI), Jane brings a wealth of expertise in school evaluation and development. Her experience includes working as a Local Leader of Education (LLE) for the Diocese, providing school-to-school support and mentoring colleagues. She has also contributed to quality assurance work for the Local Authority, served as a Lead Teacher, and acted as a Key Stage 1 moderator. 

Jane is passionate about nurturing leadership at all levels and fostering collaborative approaches to school improvement. 

Chris Horridge - Regional Performance Officer

Chris has worked in Catholic Education since 2002; having over 18 years leadership experience. Before joining the performance team at St Teresa of Calcutta in June 2024, he was a Primary Headteacher. Under his leadership, the school secured both a ‘CSI’ and Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ judgement in 2023. 

 Chris is currently undertaking the National Qualification in Executive Leadership (NPQEL) and continues to be a serving CSI inspector. Over the last five years, Chris has worked with the PTI, (formerly The Prince’s Teaching Institute) a charitable organisation dedicated to providing the best possible, subject specific CPD for teachers. Often linked to universities and research hubs, Chris has worked with the PTI to source the most relevant and current speakers to tailor bespoke training packages to groups of schools. 

Jennifer Almond - Regional Improvement Officer Secondary

Jeni has over 15 years’ experience in secondary education, having served as Executive Headteacher, Headteacher and senior leader across a range of school contexts. A qualified Business Studies teacher with previous industry experience in leadership and management, she has also worked as a GCSE examiner. 

Before joining St Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Academy Trust, Jeni led significant school improvement work with a strong focus on curriculum development, quality assurance and staff development. 

 Jeni has recently completed the National Qualification in Executive Leadership (NPQEL) and working towards Chartered Leadership Status through the Chartered College of Teaching. She also holds the NPQH, NPQSL, NPQML, the Catholic Certificate of Religious Studies (CCRS) and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Management. 

 A skilled coach and facilitator, Jeni is passionate about values-led leadership and developing leadership capacity through coaching, training and professional learning communities. 

Pauline Baker - Head of Safeguarding

Pauline is a Safeguarding professional with over 20 years’ experience of ensuring the protection and wellbeing of children and young people. She has expertise in developing safeguarding policy, staff training and multi-agency collaboration as well as a proven track record of working with regulatory bodies – conducting thorough investigations and developing preventative strategies to mitigate risk. Her extensive knowledge, skills and experience have been developed from working within various sectors including Education, Local Authority children’s Social Care and Elite Sports.  
 

She has a proven track record of successfully leading teams to implement safeguarding protocols, risk assessments and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
