This evening, governors from across the St Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Academy Trust gathered at St Gabriel’s for our latest Governor Network event — an evening designed to connect, inform and inspire those who serve our schools in this vital role.

The evening began with a relaxed IT Café, where governors could drop in for one-to-one support with any technical queries. From logging in to key platforms to navigating online resources, our team were on hand to ensure every governor has the tools they need to carry out their role confidently and effectively.

In the main session, Chris Foley, our CSEL, spoke passionately about the importance of being a governor, recognising the dedication and impact governors bring to our Trust family and the children we serve. Representatives from the National Governance Association (NGA) then highlighted the wealth of guidance and training available on their website, encouraging governors to draw on the national network of expertise and support.

Finally, Vic, our Head of Governance, outlined the Trust’s governance priorities for the year ahead, reinforcing our shared commitment to strong, effective governance across every school community.

Evenings like these celebrate the invaluable contribution of our governors and strengthen the partnership that underpins our Trust. By learning together and supporting one another, we continue to build the robust governance that helps every child to flourish.
