The Application Process

All current vacancies are listed on our Vacancies Page: Job search. To apply, simply select the “Apply Online” button and you will be able to work through an online application via our online Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Please be aware that applications will only be considered from individual applicants on our standard application form, and not via CV alone or agencies.

If you are interested in more than one vacancy at the Trust, you will need to submit individual applications.  However, once you have completed the online application form for the first time, if/when you apply for other roles, content saved in the original application pre-populates fields in the new application form.

We would recommend that you review and update information when submitting additional applications, particularly in relation to questions around the person specification.

Typically, we simply require you to complete the online application form. Occasionally, specific roles may have additional requirements, which will be outlined in the job posting.

Vacancies are usually open for two-weeks.  However, application deadlines do vary by position. Each job posting will specify its closing date. Please ensure your application is submitted before the stated deadline. Once the closing date has passed you cannot submit an application – even if you are part-way through it.

After submission, the recruiting manager (and shortlisting panel) will review your application. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews, usually via email.

Once submitted, applications cannot be edited. If you need to make significant changes, consider withdrawing your application and submitting a new one before the deadline.

Candidates can only apply for listed vacancies by submitting an application form.  However, you can register your interest for future roles here: xxx

Eligibility & Requirements

Each role has specific requirements, detailed in the advert, job description and person specification. Please review these carefully to ensure you meet the necessary criteria. For the best chance of being shortlisted for interview, you should address each point of the person specification as part of the application process.

Yes, STOCCAT welcomes applications from international candidates. However, you must have the legal right to work in the UK or obtain the necessary work permits.

Visa sponsorship is considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on the role and candidate qualifications. Please indicate your need for sponsorship in your application.

Interview & Selection

The process may include multiple stages such as panel interviews and practical assessments. Specific details will be provided if you are shortlisted.

Familiarise yourself with our Trust’s mission, values, and the specific school. Reflect on how your skills and experiences align with the role and our ethos.  We encourage applicants to contact the individual schools to make an appointment to visit the school.

Due to the high volume of applications, we may not provide individual feedback to all applicants unsuccessful at the shortlisting stage. Feedback is typically offered to candidates who reach the interview stage.

Timelines can vary, but we aim to complete the process within 4-6 weeks from the application deadline.

Candidates are invited for a face-to-face interview either at the relevant school or at STOCCAT Head Office.
